Join our award-winning Renewable Energy division as a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer. We design and deploy solar, wind, and energy storage solutions across Europe, delivering sustainable power with excellence. Based in London, this role blends technical leadership, client collaboration, and hands-on system design.
We are seeking a proactive engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is driven by a passion for clean energy. You will own engineering deliverables, support permitting and grid interconnection discussions, and mentor a growing team of engineers.
Responsibility
- Lead and manage the engineering scope for solar, wind, and energy storage projects from concept through commissioning.
- Develop technical specifications, perform site assessments, and support permitting, interconnection, and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, procurement, construction) to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
- Perform energy yield modelling, techno-economic analyses, and risk assessments to optimize project performance.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews, and contribute to QA/QC processes.
- Prepare client-ready reports, presentations, and technical proposals for proposals and project updates.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in renewable energy project design, development, or operations.
- Proficiency with modelling tools (PVSyst/Helioscope/HOMER/SAM) and CAD software; familiarity with P&ID, electrical schematics.
- Strong understanding of grid interconnection, permitting, standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC), and safety requirements.
- Proven project management experience with ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills; fluent in English.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed; based in London area.
