We are seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer to join our Denver-based team and drive high-impact projects from early-stage design through commissioning.
As a key member of our engineering group, you will collaborate across disciplines to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy systems that accelerate the transition to sustainable power.
Responsibility
- Lead technical design and optimization of solar PV and wind turbine systems across multiple projects.
- Perform energy yield modeling, system performance analysis, and financial feasibility assessments.
- Collaborate with EPCs, procurement, and GIS teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
- Develop and review technical specifications, standards, and commissioning plans.
- Conduct site assessments, permitting coordination, and interconnection studies with utilities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal tool development and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and environmental requirements.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project design, modeling, and commissioning.
- Proficiency with energy modeling tools such as PVsyst, SAM, Homer, and RETScreen; strong programming skills (Python or MATLAB).
- Solid knowledge of NEC/IEC codes and interconnection processes.
- Experience with PV and wind system design, battery storage integration, and grid interconnection studies.
- Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and lead cross-functional teams.
- Professional Engineer licensure is a plus.
