Responsibility
- Lead the electrical, mechanical, and systems design of solar, wind, and energy storage projects from concept through commissioning.
- Perform energy yield modeling, LCOE analysis, interconnection studies, and reliability assessments.
- Develop detailed designs, specifications, and drawings using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helios, SolidWorks).
- Coordinate with project managers, geotechnical teams, and manufacturers to manage scope, schedule, and budget.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (NEC, IEC, NERC CIP) and prepare commissioning and safety plans.
- Mentor junior engineers, review designs, and contribute to proposal development with technical insights.
- Support site visits, data collection, and performance monitoring to optimize system operation and maintenance.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying renewable energy projects (PV, storage, wind).
- Proficiency with PV design tools (PVsyst, Helios, PVSOL), CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and electrical design software.
- Experience with grid interconnection studies, utility coordination, and relevant codes (NEC, IEC).
- Strong data analysis and modeling skills; proficiency in Excel, Python or MATLAB.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project leadership abilities; bilingual in English strongly preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to project sites up to 25%.
