NovaGreen Renewables is seeking a Senior Solar Project Engineer to lead engineering design, feasibility studies, and technical delivery for utility-scale solar projects. The role blends engineering excellence with cross-functional collaboration to drive projects from concept through commissioning.
You will work closely with developers, EPC partners, utilities, and internal stakeholders to deliver safe, economical, and code-compliant solutions that accelerate the transition to renewable energy.

Responsibility
- Lead engineering design for utility-scale solar and storage projects, including PV layout, electrical design deliverables, protection schemes, and interconnection strategies.
- Perform feasibility studies, energy modeling, shading analysis, and optimization of yield and LCOE.
- Develop and review technical specifications, equipment datasheets, and supplier RFQs; evaluate EPC proposals.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and technical risk; implement mitigation plans and change control.
- Coordinate with permitting authorities, interconnection processes, and grid studies to ensure timely approvals.
- Review drawings, datasheets, and QA/QC documentation; support commissioning and performance testing.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical training to project teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with project development, procurement, construction, and operations for successful project delivery.
Qualification
- B.S. in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering; PE license preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in solar or renewable energy project engineering.
- Strong knowledge of PV systems, inverters, transformers, interconnection, protection schemes, and grid codes.
- Proficiency with energy modeling tools (PVSyst, Helioscope, PV*Sol) and CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience coordinating EPC partners; familiar with NEC, IEC, NFPA, and OSHA safety standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% and to work in the US with proper authorization.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and data-driven decision making.
