NovaVolt Renewables is accelerating the energy transition with scalable solar, wind, and storage projects across Europe. We are seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Project Engineer to own the design, delivery, and optimization of multi megawatt projects. You will collaborate with cross functional teams, liaise with clients, and ensure safety, quality, and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
In this role you will shape technically robust solutions, mentor engineers, and contribute to our business development with compelling proposals. Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end engineering design and optimization for solar, wind, and storage projects from concept through commissioning.
- Develop technical specifications, perform energy modelling, and conduct grid interconnection studies to secure project viability.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (EPCs, utilities, and vendors) to ensure on-time, on-budget execution.
- Oversee safety, quality, and environmental plans; maintain rigorous documentation and compliance with European standards.
- Mentor junior engineers, review deliverables, and build robust knowledge transfer within the team.
- Support business development with technically robust proposals and compelling client presentations.
- Monitor project performance, perform risk assessments, and implement optimization strategies for long-term value.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project engineering, with a track record in solar PV, wind, or storage projects.
- Proficiency in design and analysis tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and energy modelling software (HOMER, RETScreen).
- Strong understanding of power systems, grid interconnection, and electrical design (ETAP or SKM); familiarity with European standards.
- Project management experience; ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and client-facing skills; fluent in English; German proficiency a plus.
- Professional certifications (PMP, PE) are advantageous but not required.
