GreenPulse Energy is accelerating the transition to clean power. We are seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer to lead the design and delivery of solar, wind, and storage projects in the Texas market. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with grid interconnection standards.
In this role, you will work on feasibility studies, electrical design, performance modeling, and oversight during construction and commissioning. We value proactive problem solving, clear communication, and a passion for sustainable energy.
Responsibility
- Lead electrical design, interconnection studies, and performance modeling for solar, wind, and storage projects across the full project lifecycle.
- Develop feasibility analyses, energy yield assessments, and LCOE optimization to maximize project value.
- Coordinate with OEMs, EPCs, and utility stakeholders to secure permits and grid interconnection approvals.
- Oversee engineers and drafters to ensure compliance with codes and standards (NEC, IEC, NERC).
- Perform site assessments, data collection, and resource analysis to inform siting decisions.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design processes.
- Prepare technical proposals, budgets, and risk registers; contribute to project scheduling and procurement strategies.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in renewable energy project design, development, or operations; utility-scale preferred.
- Proficiency with PVsyst, HelioScope, AutoCAD/REVIT, and MATLAB or Python for energy modeling.
- Experience with grid interconnection, NERC/IEEE standards, and interconnection studies in Texas or similar markets.
- Proven project delivery track record with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams; excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- PE license preferred or ability to obtain in Texas.
