Job description
Solstice Power Systems is hiring a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer to join our growing team in Austin, Texas. You will lead the design and execution of solar, wind, and energy storage projects across the lifecycle, from feasibility studies to commissioning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver scalable clean energy solutions that reduce costs and improve resilience.

Responsibility
- Lead system design and feasibility assessments for solar, wind, and storage projects.
- Perform energy yield analysis, resource assessment, and performance modeling (PVsyst, HOMER Pro).
- Develop technical specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with internal teams, EPCs, and utility partners to ensure timely delivery.
- Support permitting, interconnection, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Oversee commissioning, testing, and performance verification of installed systems.
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and post installation optimization.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, or storage).
- Strong proficiency in design software (AutoCAD or similar), PVsyst, and energy modeling tools.
- Solid understanding of grid interconnection, codes, and safety standards (NFPA, NEC).
- Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with permitting, EPC coordination, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with a passion for clean energy.
