NovaGreen Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Renewable Energy Engineer to join our expanding team in Copenhagen. This role blends system design, project execution, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to deliver utility-scale solar and wind projects across Scandinavia.
As a key contributor, you will lead technical design, support permitting, and collaborate with developers, EPCs, and grid operators to optimize performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive a successful energy transition.

Responsibility
- Lead electrical and mechanical design for solar PV and wind integration, including system sizing and reliability considerations.
- Perform feasibility studies, energy yield analyses, site assessments, and environmental impact considerations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop EPC packages, specifications, and procurement strategies.
- Manage permitting, interconnection agreements, grid studies, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, risk registers, and performance KPIs to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Utilize CAD/BIM tools and Python/MATLAB for optimization, modeling, and data-driven decision making.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, present technical updates, and support commissioning and post-commissioning optimization.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in solar, wind, or energy storage project design and integration.
- Strong knowledge of grid interconnection standards, permitting processes, and regulatory frameworks in Europe.
- Proficiency with design and analysis tools (e.g., AutoCAD/CAD, PVSyst, PLEXOS, PV*SOL, BIM software) and data analysis with Python or MATLAB.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a track record of stakeholder engagement.
- Project management experience with ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English; Danish language skills are a plus.
