NovaRenew Energy Solutions is hiring a Senior Renewable Energy Project Engineer to lead end-to-end delivery of solar, wind, and energy storage projects. In this role you will oversee the technical scope, coordinate with clients and regulatory bodies, manage design and permitting, and ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery while upholding safety and quality standards.
Responsibility
- Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams across electrical, civil, and mechanical disciplines for utility-scale and commercial projects.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and procurement to ensure on-time delivery.
- Oversee permitting, interconnection studies, and grid integration requirements with stakeholders and regulators.
- Develop and review technical specifications, design deliverables, and compliance documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and support staff to strengthen capability and performance.
- Lead stakeholder communications, progress reporting, and change management.
- Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are integrated into every phase of the project.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices and lessons learned across projects.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in renewable energy project delivery (solar, wind, storage).
- Strong knowledge of PV design, wind turbines, energy storage systems, and interconnection processes.
- Experience with design software (PVSyst, ETAP, AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools (Primavera, MS Project).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale projects on-time and within budget.
- Knowledge of permitting, grid interconnection, environmental and safety regulations.
- Ability to travel up to 20-30% as needed.
