GreenPulse Energy is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Project Engineer to join our growing team in Austin, TX. You will lead the design and delivery of solar and wind projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability.
What you’ll do: oversee the engineering design and analysis, manage project schedules and budgets, coordinate with utilities and EPC contractors, ensure compliance with NEC/IEEE standards, perform energy modeling, and support client engagement.

Responsibility
- Lead the engineering design and analysis for solar PV and wind projects from concept to commissioning.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with electrical, civil, and procurement teams, EPCs, and utility stakeholders to secure interconnection and permits.
- Perform feasibility studies, energy modeling (PVsyst, RETScreen), and electrical design calculations; optimize for performance and cost.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE standards and local codes; lead safety and quality assurance reviews.
- Manage vendor, contractor, and subcontractor relationships; conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning.
- Communicate project progress to clients and internal leadership; prepare technical proposals and reports.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering; advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project engineering, preferably solar and wind.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility in Texas.
- Experience with interconnection processes, grid codes, and utility coordination.
- Proficiency in energy modeling software (PVsyst, RETScreen) and design tools (AutoCAD, MATLAB).
- Strong project management skills and experience with PM methodologies; ability to manage multiple projects and budgets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management; willingness to travel up to 20%.
- Knowledge of safety standards and a commitment to safety best practices.
