We are seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Project Engineer to lead cross-functional efforts from concept to commissioning.
In this role you will drive project performance, coordinate with EPC contractors, ensure safety and compliance, and champion innovative solutions that reduce cost and increase project value.
Responsibility
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams to plan, design, and deliver utility-scale renewable energy projects on time and within budget.
- Develop technical scopes, perform feasibility studies, and drive optimization of energy yield and system performance.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction partners; manage change orders and risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, interconnection standards, and environmental requirements.
- Oversee permitting, grid connection studies, and interconnection agreements with utilities.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and vendor documents; support commissioning activities.
- Inspect and ensure installation quality, safety performance, and commissioning readiness.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering; Master's preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in wind, solar, or energy storage project development and delivery.
- Strong understanding of PV/wind system design, grid interconnection, and power electronics.
- Proven track record managing EPC interfaces, schedules, and budgets for large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with international and local codes, standards, and permitting processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and electrical design tools (e.g., PVSyst, ETAP, AutoCAD, DIALux).
