GreenGrid Innovations is a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, delivering solar, wind, and energy storage projects across North America. We are seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Project Engineer to lead front-end design, engineering execution, and commissioning for complex projects.
In this high impact role, you will partner with cross functional teams to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved from concept through commissioning.
Responsibility
- Lead the technical development and design of solar, wind, or storage projects from concept through detailed engineering packages
- Develop engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, single line diagrams, equipment specifications and design calculations
- Manage cross functional project teams, external consultants, and vendors to deliver on time and within budget
- Conduct risk assessments, feasibility studies, and value engineering to optimize project performance
- Own project scheduling, critical path analysis, and progress tracking with transparent reporting to stakeholders
- Collaborate with procurement and construction teams to ensure quality control and safety adherence on site
- Support commissioning, performance testing, and handover to operations with complete as built documentation
Qualification
- Bachelor or Master degree in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering or related field
- 5+ years experience in renewable energy project engineering with a track record delivering projects
- Proficient with Primavera P6 or MS Project and design tools such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Strong knowledge of NEC, IEC and safety standards and project compliance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with leadership capability
- Ability to travel up to 20 percent and work in a field environment
- Professional Engineer license preferred
