BioNova Therapeutics is a fast-growing biotech company focused on developing transformative therapies for genetic diseases. We are seeking a Senior Research Scientist in Biology to lead critical programs from discovery through early translational work. Responsibility
- Design, execute, and interpret experiments in cellular and molecular biology to advance therapeutic programs.
- Lead bioprocess development tasks and quality control for assay readiness.
- Mentor junior scientists and coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, analytics, clinical research).
- Develop and optimize experimental protocols; ensure data integrity and reproducibility.
- Manage project timelines, milestones, and risk assessments.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and study reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory submissions.
- Present findings to senior leadership and contribute to grant writing and publications.
Qualification
- PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field; or MS with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong experimental design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation (R, Python, or similar).
- Experience with mammalian cell culture, gene expression assays, PCR/qPCR, and ELISA.
- Knowledge of CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing and next-generation sequencing is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey complex science to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of scientific publications or patent contributions is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative biotech environment and manage multiple priorities.
