We are seeking a Senior Reservoir and Drilling Petroleum Engineer to lead integrated reservoir, drilling, and production optimization programs in complex basins. This role offers exposure to state-of-the-art analytics, digital twin technology, and cross-functional project execution with a competitive compensation package and clear career progression.
In this role you will drive technical excellence across exploration, development, and operations, shaping field strategies and delivering reliable performance improvements. You will partner with geoscientists, drilling, completions, and production teams, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and ethics.
Responsibility
- Lead reservoir characterization, development planning, reserves estimation, and production forecasting using Eclipse, Petrel, and related tools.
- Plan and optimize drilling programs, wellbore design, casing strategies, and interventions to maximize recoveries and minimize risk.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling, completions, and production teams to develop field development plans (FDPs) and execution roadmaps.
- Perform economic evaluations, risk analysis, and decision analysis for field development and project approvals.
- Analyze well performance, implement enhanced recovery techniques, artificial lift optimization, and stimulation design improvements.
- Ensure HSE compliance, quality standards, and manage project budgets, schedules, and milestones.
- Mentor junior engineers, promote data-driven decision-making, and contribute to the continuous improvement of technical standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field; MS preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in reservoir engineering, drilling, and production optimization in upstream oil and gas.
- Strong proficiency with industry software such as Eclipse, Petrel, OFM, and PIPESIM; familiarity with reservoir simulation and well test analysis.
- Solid understanding of reservoir management, decline curve analysis, and economic evaluation (NPV, IRR) for field development.
- Experience with drilling engineering concepts, well planning, directional drilling, and completion design.
- Data analytics and scripting skills (Python, MATLAB, or R) to support modeling and decision-making.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a track record of delivering results.
