TerraNova Energy is seeking a results-driven Senior Reservoir Engineer to lead critical asset development in our fossil energy portfolio. This role combines advanced reservoir modeling, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership to maximize value while maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards. Based in Houston, TX, you will partner with geoscience, drilling, production, and commercial teams to deliver robust field development plans and optimized recovery.
As a senior member of the subsurface team, you will drive model construction, history matching, performance forecasting, and uncertainty analysis to inform CAPEX decisions and production optimization strategies across onshore and offshore assets in our portfolio.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and execution of reservoir characterization studies and field development plans for multiple assets.
- Develop and maintain dynamic reservoir models using industry standard tools to forecast production and recovery.
- Collaborate with geoscience, drilling, production, and commercial teams to translate data into actionable development strategies.
- Perform history matching, uncertainty analysis, and risk assessment to support CAPEX and OPEX optimization.
- Mentor junior engineers, review technical work, and champion best practices in reservoir management and HSE.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company safety standards across operations.
- Communicate technical findings to executive leadership and prepare clear EPC/FEED deliverables.
Qualification
- Master or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or related field; 8+ years of reservoir engineering experience in fossil energy environments.
- Proven expertise in reservoir simulation with Eclipse, CMG, or similar platforms; proficiency with Petrel or similar mapping tools.
- Strong understanding of offshore and onshore development concepts, with track record of delivering successful field development plans.
- Excellent analytical, data management, and communication skills; ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional Engineer license or equivalent certification preferred; willingness to travel as needed.
