Job description
Join Blackridge Energy Group, a premier leader in fossil energy development and operations. We are seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer to optimize asset value across onshore and offshore portfolios. You will lead reservoir modeling, data driven decision making, and cross functional collaboration to maximize production and ultimate recovery while maintaining safety and environmental compliance.
In this role you will apply advanced reservoir simulation, history matching, and production forecasting to support field development plans, EOR programs, and capital allocation. You will collaborate with drilling, facilities, geoscience, and commercial teams to translate data into actionable strategies that improve recovery and cost efficiency.
We are looking for a proactive, technically rigorous professional who thrives in a fast paced energy environment and demonstrates strong communication, mentoring, and governance skills.
Responsibility
- Lead reservoir studies and dynamic modeling for multiple fossil energy assets, including history matching and forecast development.
- Develop and maintain reservoir simulations (Eclipse, Petrel, GEM, or comparable tools) to evaluate development scenarios and EOR options.
- Collaborate with drilling, facilities, and production teams to implement field development plans and optimize capital efficiency.
- Perform reserves estimation, risk analysis, and commercial valuation in accordance with industry standards and local regulations.
- Ensure high-quality data integration from seismic, production, and completion data; support data governance and analytics initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical reviews, and lead project teams on major field projects.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and drive disciplined project governance.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for executive leadership and regulatory filings.
Qualification
- Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of reservoir engineering experience in fossil energy, with onshore and/or offshore exposure.
- Strong proficiency with reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, Petrel, CMG, or similar).
- Deep understanding of production engineering, nodal analysis, material balance, and enhanced oil recovery techniques.
- Experience with reserves estimation under SPE-PRMS guidelines and uncertainty analysis; programming in Python or MATLAB is a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities; proven track record of cross-functional teamwork.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% and ability to work across time zones; eligible to work in the United States.
