Join ApexGuard Risk Solutions as a Senior Risk Management Analyst in New York City. You will lead the design and execution of enterprise risk programs, partnering with executives to protect value and drive strategic decisions.

In this role, you will own risk assessment, KRIs, control design, and reporting to the Board. You will work across finance, operations, IT, and compliance to ensure robust risk governance.

Responsibility

  • Lead enterprise risk assessments across financial, operational, regulatory, and cyber domains.
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise risk register, risk appetite statements, and key risk indicators (KRIs).
  • Collaborate with executives to design and implement risk treatment plans and control improvements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure alignment with standards (COSO, ISO 31000, SOX, privacy laws).
  • Perform scenario analysis, stress testing, and data-driven risk analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Coordinate with internal audit and compliance to track findings and verify remediation.
  • Prepare board-level risk reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for risk oversight.
  • Manage third-party and vendor risk programs, including due diligence and ongoing monitoring.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (FRM, CFA, PRM) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in risk management, internal controls, or audit within financial services or corporate environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ERM frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000) and regulatory requirements including SOX and privacy rules.
  • Proficiency with risk analytics, statistical methods, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience building and maintaining risk registers, KRIs, control maps, and risk reporting dashboards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to present complex findings to executives and the board.
  • Project management and cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced, matrixed organizations.
  • Detail-oriented problem solver with strong ethics and commitment to quality and compliance.
