Responsibility

  • Develop and implement data-driven performance analyses for athletes and the team, translating insights into training and game-day strategies.
  • Lead load management, GPS/tracking data review, and injury risk assessment to optimize player wellness and readiness.
  • Perform video and statistics-based scouting to support talent identification, recruitment, and player development plans.
  • Partner with coaching and medical staff to design data-informed training programs and recovery protocols.
  • Oversee data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting, ensuring timely, accurate, and accessible insights for stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex findings clearly to executives, coaches, and players through concise reports and presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with league data policies, privacy, and ethical standards in all analytics activities.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Sports Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related) with a preferred advanced degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in performance analysis or analytics within professional sports or high-performance environments.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI); experience with sports analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Strong ability to translate data into actionable insights for coaches, medical staff, and executives.
  • Experience with GPS/tracking systems (Catapult, STATS, etc.), video analysis software, and performance measurements.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence decisions across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of sport science concepts, training load management, and injury prevention best practices.
