Job description
We are seeking a strategic and hands on Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead end to end supply chain operations for a growing consumer goods company in Chicago. You will drive cost reduction, service level improvements, and cross functional collaboration across procurement, planning, warehousing, and transportation.
As a key member of the Operations leadership team, you will design scalable processes, implement best in class planning tools, and build a high performing supply chain that supports rapid growth and exceptional customer experience.
Responsibility
- Lead end to end supply chain planning, procurement, inventory management and logistics to ensure on time delivery
- Develop and implement demand forecasting, SOP processes and service level agreements with internal teams and suppliers
- Drive cost to serve optimization, negotiate favorable contracts with suppliers and carriers, and manage supplier performance
- Optimize warehousing, distribution network and transportation to reduce lead times and stockouts
- Lead a cross functional team and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Implement or optimize ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and analytics to improve visibility and decision making
- Establish key performance indicators and dashboards to monitor performance and drive accountability
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, business or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, preferably in consumer goods or retail
- Strong knowledge of demand planning, inventory optimization, SOP and logistics
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP Oracle) and data analytics; proficiency in Excel, Power BI or Tableau
- Proven leadership and cross functional collaboration capabilities; ability to influence at all levels
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem solving skills; results oriented
- Certifications such as CPIM CSCP or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
