Responsibility
- Lead field surveys using GNSS, total stations, and robotic instruments for boundary, topographic, and construction staking projects.
- Plan daily field activities, ensure data quality, and meet project timelines.
- Set up and maintain control networks, monuments, and benchmarks with verified accuracy.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain survey equipment; perform routine field checks.
- Capture, manage, and QC field data; prepare field notes and preliminary reports.
- Collaborate with CAD/GIS teams to translate field data into deliverables.
- Mentor junior crew, promote safety, and contribute to QA/QC programs.
- Assist with permit coordination and client communications as needed.
Qualification
- 3+ years of field surveying experience; LSIT or PLS preferred.
- Proficiency with GNSS RTK, total stations, data collectors (e.g., Trimble, Leica).
- Strong math, map reading, and CAD/GIS integration skills.
- Experience with QA/QC of survey data and various survey types (boundary, topographic, construction).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to field sites; occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Safety-focused with OSHA 10 or equivalent; current safety certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain.
