Responsibility
- Lead and perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction staking, and control surveys using GNSS and robotic total stations.
- Plan fieldwork, safety protocols, QA/QC, and supervise survey crews in the field.
- Prepare accurate field notes, calculations, plats, and construction layouts for permits and construction teams.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and design teams to ensure survey deliverables meet project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards (DOT, municipalities, state boards).
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS tools to create and annotate drawings and deliverables.
- Review and process survey data; manage geospatial databases and data quality.
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to process improvements.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field; or equivalent field experience.
- Licensed Professional Surveyor in Texas or ability to obtain licensure within 12-24 months.
- 5+ years of field surveying experience with emphasis on boundary and construction surveys.
- Proficiency with GNSS receivers, robotic total stations, and data collection software.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS software; experience with survey data processing.
- Excellent communication, client relations, and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and crews.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
