Responsibility

  • Lead and perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction staking, and control surveys using GNSS and robotic total stations.
  • Plan fieldwork, safety protocols, QA/QC, and supervise survey crews in the field.
  • Prepare accurate field notes, calculations, plats, and construction layouts for permits and construction teams.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and design teams to ensure survey deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards (DOT, municipalities, state boards).
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS tools to create and annotate drawings and deliverables.
  • Review and process survey data; manage geospatial databases and data quality.
  • Mentor junior technicians and contribute to process improvements.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field; or equivalent field experience.
  • Licensed Professional Surveyor in Texas or ability to obtain licensure within 12-24 months.
  • 5+ years of field surveying experience with emphasis on boundary and construction surveys.
  • Proficiency with GNSS receivers, robotic total stations, and data collection software.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS software; experience with survey data processing.
  • Excellent communication, client relations, and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and crews.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
