Responsibility
- Conduct boundary, topographic, construction, and ALTA/NSPS surveys using GNSS, total stations, and data collectors.
- Prepare field notes, compute measurements, perform QA/QC, and verify data integrity for deliverables.
- Produce accurate survey plats, maps, and sketches; support civil design, permitting, and construction teams.
- Maintain survey control networks, manage equipment calibration, and ensure data quality in real-time.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to communicate progress, risks, and scope changes.
- Uphold safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards during field operations and office work.
- Mentor junior staff, provide training on data collection best practices, and advance CAD/GIS workflows.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred; ability to obtain within 24 months is acceptable.
- 3+ years of field and office surveying experience; strong proficiency with GNSS, total stations, data collectors, and field software.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS tools; experience with data management, CAD drafting, and QA/QC.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Knowledge of ALTA/NSPS standards, boundary mapping, and local regulations in Washington state.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally; excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication abilities; capable of managing multiple priorities.
