Responsibility

  • Conduct boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and staking surveys using total stations and GNSS receivers.
  • Establish and maintain control networks, perform data collection, reduction, and QA/QC of field notes and observations.
  • Prepare accurate plat and map outputs, right-of-way plans, and as-built documentation for clients and permitting agencies.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to create design-grade survey products and integration with BIM workflows.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers, clients, and field crews to support project timelines and constructability reviews.
  • Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and quality control on all field activities.
  • Provide mentorship to junior survey staff and assist with training and onboarding.
  • Assist with proposals and project scoping by providing surveying estimates and data requirements.

Qualification

  • Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field (Associate or Bachelor acceptable).
  • 2-5 years of hands-on field surveying experience with GNSS and total stations; LSIT/PLS preferred or achievable within 2 years.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, and the ability to process data using common GIS workflows.
  • Strong math, geometry, and map-reading skills; detail-oriented with high data integrity.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and client-facing skills; demonstrated safety consciousness.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field sites and project offices as needed.
