Join Summit Peak Surveying, a premium geospatial firm, as a Senior Surveyor in Denver, CO. You will lead field teams, plan surveys, and deliver precise measurements for land development, infrastructure, and construction projects. We equip you with the latest GPS/GNSS, total stations, robotic instruments, and BIM-ready deliverables to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
As a senior member, you’ll mentor junior surveyors, collaborate with engineers and designers, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on all projects.
Responsibility
- Plan and supervise field surveys, establish control networks, and ensure safety on all job sites.
- Lead data collection using GPS/GNSS, total stations, and lidar/3D scanning where applicable.
- Manage survey crews, allocate resources, and schedule fieldwork to meet project timelines.
- Compute and adjust horizontal/vertical networks; prepare boundary descriptions, plats, topographic maps, and GIS-ready data.
- Review QA/QC of field data and deliverables; maintain rigorous accuracy standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients; translate survey results into actionable design decisions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal surveying standards and permits.
- Mentor junior staff, provide training, and foster a culture of safety and teamwork.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field; professional licensure (PE/PLS) preferred.
- 5+ years of field and office surveying experience; project leadership is a plus.
- Proficiency with total stations, GNSS, data collection apps, and CAD/GIS software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS).
- Strong math, data analysis, and mapping skills; knowledge of boundary law and regulations.
- Experience with BIM integration and 3D scanning is a plus.
- Excellent communication, client-facing, and team leadership abilities.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to field sites; willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
- Commitment to safety, QA/QC, and regulatory compliance.
