Responsibility
- Lead and teach core theology courses across undergraduate and graduate programs, with emphasis on biblical studies, historical theology, ethics, and systematic theology.
- Design, implement, and continually improve degree programs, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and institutional mission.
- Mentor faculty and supervise adjunct instructors; foster a culture of scholarly excellence and student-centered learning.
- Direct program development, including new certificate and continuing education offerings, to meet evolving ministry needs.
- Cultivate partnerships with churches, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations to provide internships, field education, and practical learning experiences.
- Oversee assessment, accreditation processes, and programmatic outcomes; lead annual program reviews and accreditation reporting.
- Represent the department in governance discussions, recruit diverse students, manage departmental budget, and lead fundraising initiatives.
Qualification
- Doctoral degree in Theology, Biblical Studies, Church History, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of teaching, research, and leadership experience in higher education or a seminary setting; demonstrated progress toward tenure or equivalent scholarly status.
- Proven track record in program development, curriculum design, and accreditation processes.
- Strong publication record in theology or religious studies; experience presenting at national or international conferences.
- Exemplary teaching skills with a focus on student engagement, mentorship, and inclusive pedagogy.
- Strategic leadership and collaborative management experience, including budget oversight and team supervision.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within faith-based education and a collegial, faith-informed approach to scholarship.
- Ability to secure grants or donor support and to build meaningful partnerships with churches and nonprofit organizations.
