GlobalLingua Solutions is seeking a Senior Translator (English–French) to join our Toronto team. You will craft precise, culturally nuanced translations for a diverse portfolio, including software localization, marketing collateral, technical guides, and legal documents. Responsibility
- Translate and localize content from English to French (and vice versa) with high accuracy and cultural relevance for software, marketing, technical, and legal materials.
- Manage terminology using glossaries and CAT tools to ensure consistency across projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, localization engineers, and subject matter experts to align on brand voice and requirements.
- Perform quality assurance, proofreading, and post-editing to meet established quality metrics.
- Maintain accurate project timelines, provide status updates, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Review localized software/UI for linguistic quality and usability, including in-context checks.
- Mentor junior translators and contribute to process improvements for faster delivery and higher quality.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Native-level fluency in English and French with exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Proven experience in translation and localization for technology/software, marketing, and/or legal content.
- Proficiency with CAT tools (SDL Trados Studio, memoQ, Memsource) and terminology management.
- Strong QA skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to maintain consistent style across projects.
- Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Portfolio or samples of previous translation work required.
