Responsibility
- Translate and localize a variety of content from English to Spanish, preserving meaning, tone, and intent.
- Develop and maintain glossaries and style guides to ensure consistency across projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, editors, and engineers to plan translations and meet deadlines.
- Review and edit translations for accuracy, grammar, and cultural appropriateness; perform final QA checks.
- Leverage CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ) and translation memories to optimize efficiency.
- Manage terminology databases and contribute to continuous improvement of localization workflows.
- Support SEO-friendly localization for web content, metadata, and product descriptions when applicable.
- Assist in mentoring junior translators and contributing to quality assurance metrics.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional English-to-Spanish translation experience, ideally in tech, e-commerce, or enterprise content.
- Native or near-native Spanish; strong English proficiency; additional languages a plus.
- Proficiency with CAT tools (SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, or similar) and translation memories.
- Excellent editing, proofreading, and quality assurance skills; strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines; strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of localization best practices and SEO localization concepts; familiarity with terminology management.
