Responsibility
- Lead the development and execution of optimized transportation plans to meet service levels and cost targets.
- Analyze network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with carriers, freight vendors, and internal teams to manage capacity and delivery windows.
- Develop and monitor KPIs, prepare performance reports, and present findings to leadership.
- Coordinate regulatory compliance and safety standards across operations.
- Mentor junior planners and contribute to the growth of the logistics team.
- Support budgeting and cost forecasting for transportation spend.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; MBA a plus.
- 5+ years of transportation/planning experience in a multi-modal environment.
- Proven ability to design and optimize network routes and schedules.
- Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with Excel, SQL, or analytics tools; experience with TMS/SAP a plus.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with carriers and vendors.
- Strong communication, project management, and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety compliance.
