Responsibility
- Lead the design and execution of transportation planning projects for regional networks, including multi-modal modes.
- Analyze traffic data, demand forecasts, and historical trends to optimize routes and schedules.
- Develop and monitor KPIs for on-time performance, cost per mile, and service reliability.
- Collaborate with operations, fleet management, and IT teams to implement routing and optimization solutions.
- Prepare business cases and presentations for stakeholders, including executives and clients.
- Manage vendors, consultants, and GIS resources; supervise junior analysts.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national transportation regulations and safety standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field (Master preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in transportation planning, logistics, or fleet operations.
- Strong data analysis skills; proficiency in Excel, SQL, and GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Experience with transportation modeling software (TransCAD, PTV VISUM/ VISSIM) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in transportation.
