NovaVista Labs is seeking a passionate Senior UI/UX Designer to join our design team in Austin, TX. You will craft intuitive, accessible interfaces for our growing product suite, collaborating with product managers, engineers, and researchers to ship delightful digital experiences.
As a key member of our design organization, you will balance user needs with business goals, lead design initiatives, and contribute to a scalable design system used across our portfolio.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end UX work from discovery to high-fidelity design and handoff to development.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to define features, flows, and specs.
- Create user journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
- Develop, maintain, and evolve a scalable design system and component library.
- Conduct usability testing, synthesize insights, and translate into actionable improvements.
- Advise on accessibility and inclusive design practices across products.
- Mentor junior designers and promote design best practices across squads.
Qualification
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, preferably with SaaS or product-driven software.
- Portfolio with case studies showcasing process, outcomes, and impact.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma preferred; others ok).
- Strong visual design skills, typography, color, layout, and information architecture.
- Experience building and maintaining design systems and pattern libraries.
- Experience with user research methods and translating insights into designs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to articulate design rationale to cross-functional teams.
