Join NovaLabs Studio, a product-led design studio in the heart of Austin. We craft compelling digital experiences for a global client base. We’re seeking a proactive UI/UX Designer who can translate complex problems into intuitive interfaces, collaborating across product, engineering, and research.
You’ll work on end-to-end design from discovery to delivery, shaping design systems and ensuring accessibility excellence. This role is ideal for a creator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values user-centric outcomes.
Responsibility
- Lead full product design lifecycle from discovery to high-fidelity delivery for web and mobile apps.
- Create and maintain scalable design systems, components, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with PMs and engineers to translate user insights into pragmatic solutions.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to inform design decisions.
- Craft information architecture, wireframes, flows, and interactive prototypes.
- Champion accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a collaborative design culture.
- Present design rationale to stakeholders and iterate based on feedback.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio across web and mobile platforms.
- Proficiency in Figma, plus familiarity with Sketch/Adobe XD.
- Strong understanding of user research methods, usability testing, and synthesis.
- Experience designing responsive layouts and design systems; knowledge of accessibility standards.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Experience working in agile teams with product managers and engineers.
