At AstraDesign Studio, we craft premium digital experiences for leading brands. We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to own the full design lifecycle—from discovery to delivery—for web and mobile products. Working with product, research, and engineering teams, you’ll translate strategy into intuitive, accessible interfaces that delight users and drive business impact. This hybrid role is based in San Francisco with flexible remote options.
As part of our design leadership, you will:
- Define user flows, information architecture, and interaction patterns that scale with product growth.
- Create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes using Figma and related tools.
- Develop and maintain a cohesive design system with components, tokens, and accessibility standards ( WCAG ).
- Collaborate across disciplines (PM, Research, Engineering) to ship features that meet user and business goals.
- Conduct user research and usability testing; translate insights into actionable design iterations.
- Advise on performance, responsive design, and accessibility considerations across platforms.
- Provide mentorship to junior designers and contribute to design reviews and best practices.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end UI/UX design for web and mobile products, from research to delivery.
- Define user journeys, wireframes, and interaction models that align with product goals.
- Collaborate with product, research, and engineering teams to craft delightful experiences.
- Create, maintain, and scale a comprehensive design system with accessible components.
- Produce high-fidelity prototypes (Figma) and developer-ready specs.
- Conduct usability testing and synthesize insights to drive iterative design improvements.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to design reviews and processes.
Qualification
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience across SaaS, web, or mobile products.
- Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design and problem solving.
- Proficiency with Figma; experience with Sketch/Adobe XD; prototyping tools.
- Solid understanding of information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and accessibility (WCAG).
- Experience building and maintaining design systems; collaborating with engineering.
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML/CSS) and delivering developer-ready specs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence product direction.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field preferred.
