EcoNova Environmental Solutions is a leading provider of comprehensive waste management and sustainability services. We are seeking a proactive Senior Waste Management Specialist to lead strategic initiatives, optimize operations, and drive measurable environmental impact for clients in Austin and beyond.
In this role you will partner with municipal agencies, commercial customers, and internal teams to design and implement waste reduction programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and advance recycling and diversion goals.

Responsibility
- Develop and optimize end to end waste management programs including collection, recycling, organics, and disposal activities.
- Lead regulatory compliance, permitting, and reporting for municipal and industrial waste streams.
- Analyze waste data and KPIs to identify cost savings, diversion improvements, and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and field teams to implement process improvements and safety initiatives.
- Manage client relationships, proposals, and project delivery for waste programs.
- Coordinate with vendors, haulers, and municipal partners to ensure service levels and contract compliance.
- Champion sustainability initiatives and community outreach to promote responsible waste practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, sustainability, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in waste management or environmental services, with a track record of program delivery.
- Strong knowledge of municipal solid waste systems, recycling, organics, and hazardous waste handling.
- Proficiency with data analytics and waste management software; experience with GIS or route optimization is a plus.
- Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (EPA, state, and local) and reporting processes.
