GreenStream Environmental is seeking a resultsâdriven Waste Management Project Manager to lead comprehensive waste programs across multiple facilities in Austin, Texas. This role emphasizes regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in waste diversion and cost efficiency.
As a key member of our Environmental Services team, you will partner with operations, engineering, and external partners to design, implement, and optimize sustainable waste solutions that meet statutory requirements and corporate ESG goals.

Responsibility
- Lead and manage comprehensive waste management programs across facilities to optimize diversion rates and reduce landfill waste.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with RCRA, EPCRA, DOT, and state equivalents; oversee reporting and inspections.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as diversion rate, total waste cost per ton, and recycling yield.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, procurement, and external vendors to design and implement waste reduction initiatives.
- Develop annual budgets for waste services, track expenditures, and optimize supplier contracts.
- Lead environmental due diligence for new sites, remodels, and acquisitions; support permitting and environmental impact assessments.
- Provide training and mentorship to site teams on best practices for waste handling, storage, and waste minimization.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Masterâs degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in waste management, sustainability, or environmental compliance.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations (RCRA, EPCRA, DOT) and reporting requirements.
- Proven project management experience with budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management.
- Data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel and reporting tools; GIS experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and crossâfunctional collaboration abilities.
- US work authorization; willingness to occasionally travel to sites as required.
