GreenSphere Environmental Solutions is seeking a results-driven Waste Program Manager to lead our growing waste management initiatives in the Seattle region. This pivotal role drives compliance, efficiency, and community impact across multiple facilities.
As a key member of the Environmental Services team, you will design, implement, and optimize waste programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with operations to reduce waste and costs while achieving sustainability goals.
Responsibility
- Lead design, implementation, and optimization of waste management programs across multiple facilities in the Seattle region.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (RCRA, DOT, EPA, local ordinances).
- Manage waste tracking, reporting, manifests, and annual sustainability disclosures.
- Lead waste reduction, recycling, organics, and hazardous waste programs; drive diversion metrics.
- Collaborate with operations, EH&S, vendors, and municipal partners; coordinate audits and inspections.
- Develop and manage budgets, contracts, and vendor performance to optimize costs and service quality.
- Analyze data to drive continuous improvement; prepare dashboards and executive summaries.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field; master's preferred.
- 5+ years in waste management, environmental compliance, or hazardous waste operations.
- Regulatory knowledge: RCRA, DOT hazmat, EPA rules, and local permits.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset; proficiency with Excel, and experience with BI tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience with permit applications, audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Ability to travel up to 20% and to work across multiple facilities.
