Responsibility
- Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of WASH projects from concept through commissioning.
- Manage multi-disciplinary project teams, budgets, schedules, procurement, and quality assurance.
- Ensure compliance with WHO/UNICEF WASH standards, national regulations, and environmental safeguards.
- Engage with municipalities, NGOs, communities, and private partners to align objectives and secure buy-in.
- Develop M&E frameworks, analyze data, and report on program performance and impact.
- Lead grant writing, fundraising, and donor reporting to support program expansion.
- Conduct field assessments, risk analyses, and develop resilience strategies for climate-adaptive water systems.
- Provide technical mentorship and build local capacity for sustainability.
Qualification
- Bachelor's in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent; licensure in the U.S. or globally recognized certification preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in WASH project design and implementation.
- Experience with hydraulic modeling, water treatment, wastewater, and sanitation technologies.
- Knowledge of WHO/UNICEF WASH guidelines and national regulations; experience with EIA a plus.
- Strong data analysis, GIS proficiency, and monitoring & evaluation skills.
- Excellent grant writing, proposal development, and donor reporting ability.
- Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-cultural collaboration; willingness to travel to project sites.
