BlueWave Water Solutions is seeking a talented Senior Water and Sanitation Engineer to lead transformative WASH projects in Nairobi and beyond. You will design and implement sustainable water supply and sanitation solutions, ensure compliance with national and international standards, and drive community-centered outcomes.

Responsibility

- Lead design, implementation, and supervision of water supply and sanitation projects across urban and rural settings. \n
- Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and procurement strategies, ensuring timely delivery and cost control. \n
- Coordinate with local governments, NGOs, communities, and partners to ensure stakeholder engagement and social acceptance. \n
- Manage technical teams (hydraulic engineers, surveyors, M&E specialists) and ensure high-quality deliverables. \n
- Conduct risk assessments, water quality monitoring, and sanitation facility maintenance planning. \n
- Ensure monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for project outcomes and impact in line with donor requirements. \n
- Support grant writing, donor reporting, and contract management to secure sustainable funding. \n
- Provide capacity building for local staff and community-based organizations. \n
Qualification
- \n
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred. \n
- 7+ years of experience in water supply, sanitation, and WASH projects. \n
- Proven experience in project management, budgeting, procurement, and contract management. \n
- Familiarity with Kenyan regulatory standards and international WASH guidelines (WSP, WHO/UNICEF JMP). \n
- Experience with GIS, CAD, hydraulic modeling, and related tools is a plus. \n
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and report writing skills. \n
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and field-based environments; willingness to travel. \n
- Professional registration (ECSA or PE) preferred. \n
