Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end design and implementation of water supply, wastewater, and sanitation projects.
- Perform needs assessments, hydrological/hydraulic modelling, and feasibility studies.
- Prepare technical designs, bills of quantities, budgets, and procurement plans.
- Coordinate with government agencies, NGOs, donors, and community stakeholders.
- Develop monitoring and evaluation plans; ensure compliance with WASH standards and quality controls.
- Manage project schedules, risk assessments, and field supervision of teams.
- Mentor engineers, technologists, and field technicians; foster a culture of safety and quality.
- Contribute to grant writing and donor reporting; support resource mobilization.
Qualification
- Bachelor's in Civil/Environmental Engineering or a related field; Master's preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of sustainable WASH project experience; water utilities or public sector exposure ideal.
- Professional accreditation or registration (e.g., KEPE, or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment, distribution networks, wastewater systems, and sanitation technologies.
- Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) and design software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D); basic hydraulic modelling.
- Excellent project management, grant reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in English; local language skills a plus; willingness to travel to field sites.
