Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end design and implementation of water supply and sanitation projects in urban and rural settings.
- Perform feasibility studies, hydraulic modeling, regulatory assessments, and risk analyses.
- Develop detailed designs, bill of quantities, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, and vendor relations.
- Coordinate with clients, government authorities, contractors, and community stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in.
- Ensure compliance with national and local standards, environmental and health regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
- Develop operation and maintenance plans and capacity-building materials for local teams.
- Monitor project progress and evaluate impact, delivering regular reports to sponsors and partners.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in water supply and sanitation projects; field experience in developing contexts preferred.
- Professional Engineer license or equivalent credential in Kenya or regionally recognized authority.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling tools (EPANET, SWMM) and GIS software; experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and grant reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, community facilitation, and communication abilities.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages a plus.
