Join Adecco, a leading multinational recruitment partner, as a Service Engineer specializing in Welding and Crane Maintenance. Based in Singapore's Central Region, you will diagnose, repair, weld, and maintain cranes for a diverse range of industrial clients. As a Service Engineer, you will perform a variety of activities that keep critical lifting equipment running safely and reliably. You will conduct on site inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on cranes and related lifting gear. You will perform welding and fabrication tasks, install or retrofit components, align and test systems, and complete commissioning activities. You will document all service activities, manage parts orders, and communicate clearly with customers to minimize downtime. This role requires strong mechanical know how, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to safety and quality standards.

Responsibility
- Diagnose and troubleshoot crane systems including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components on site.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and component repairs or replacements on lifting equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure safety, reliability, and uptime.
- Install, retrofit, commission, and test crane components and control systems.
- Prepare accurate service reports, order parts, and document work performed.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of safe workmanship.
- Travel to customer sites within the Central Region as required, with effective communication and professionalism.
Qualification
- Technical diploma or certificate in mechanical, electrical, or a related field; hands on experience with cranes or heavy lifting equipment is preferred.
- Proven welding and fabrication skills; ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting abilities; familiar with PLCs and control systems is a plus.
- Experience in field service, repairs, and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance; good problem solving and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel within the Central Region and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and customer‑facing professionalism; valid driver’s license may be required.
