Join Apex Freight Solutions, a leading provider of global shipping and logistics services. We are seeking a proactive Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to optimize freight flows, manage carrier relationships, and ensure compliance across all shipments. This role offers exposure to international trade, multimodal freight, and a fast-paced, data-driven environment in Singapore.
As part of our Logistics team, you will coordinate shipments from origin to destination, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement across routing, documentation, and cost control.
Responsibility
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations across air, sea, and land freight, from booking to delivery confirmation.
- Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to optimize routing and transit times.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents (BLs, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates) for regulatory compliance.
- Monitor shipment status, proactively identify delays, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Manage carrier negotiations, rates, and service level agreements to control costs.
- Maintain accurate data in the TMS/ERP system and generate performance reports for leadership.
- Coordinate inbound/outbound customs clearance and ensure adherence to customs regulations.
- Support cross-functional projects to improve warehouse flow, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on shipping/logistics experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of incoterms, import/export procedures, and customs compliance.
- Proficiency with TMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office; data analysis skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team; strong organization and time-management.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Valid work authorization for Singapore; willingness to participate in after-hours support as needed.
