Join Apex Logistics & Freight, a leader in global shipping solutions, as a Shipping Operations Coordinator in Singapore. You will oversee day-to-day shipment planning, carrier coordination, and documentation to ensure on-time, compliant delivery across multi-modal networks. What you’ll do:
Responsibility
- Plan and coordinate outbound and inbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal routing.
- Coordinate carrier bookings, rate negotiations, and documentation (bills of lading, packing lists, manifests).
- Monitor shipment status in the TMS, proactively resolving delays and communicating with internal teams and customers.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs clearance, duties, taxes, and trade controls.
- Analyze transportation options to optimize cost, lead time, and service level.
- Collaborate with warehousing, inventory, procurement, and customer service to align operations with demand.
- Maintain accurate data and KPI reporting; drive process improvements and issue resolution.
- Support audits and risk management activities to protect shipments and customers.
Qualification
- BA/BS in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of shipping/logistics experience, preferably in freight forwarding or 3PL environments.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, duties/taxes, and risk management.
- Proficiency with TMS/WMS/ERP systems and advanced Excel (pivots, vlookups); comfortable with data analytics.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills; customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a collaborative attitude.
