Join ApexGlobal Logistics, a leading provider of freight forwarding and supply chain solutions, as a Shipping Operations Coordinator in Singapore. You will coordinate carrier relationships, track shipments, and optimize transport movements to ensure on-time delivery and outstanding customer experience. Responsibility
- Coordinate daily shipment activities across air, ocean, and road freight, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery.
- Monitor bookings, variances, and documentation (bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists) to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve transport issues and optimize routes.
- Track shipments in the TMS/ERP system, generate status updates, and provide customers with proactive notifications.
- Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to reduce transit times and costs.
- Support customs clearance and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
- Assist in carrier negotiation and rate benchmarking to secure best-in-class service levels.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-4 years of experience in shipping/logistics, freight forwarding, or warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of freight processes, Incoterms, and customs documentation.
- Proficiency with TMS/ERP systems and Microsoft Office; comfort with data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; fluent English (written and spoken).
- High attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing deadlines.
