Join Apex Logistics Solutions as a Shipping Operations Manager in Singapore. We are seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to oversee our global shipping operations, optimize carrier partnerships, and ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries for a diverse portfolio of clients.
In this role you will partner with procurement, warehousing, and freight forwarders to design efficient end-to-end shipping processes. You will leverage data analytics to reduce transit times, control costs, and maintain compliance with international trade regulations.

Responsibility
- Lead day-to-day global shipping operations, ensuring on-time delivery and cost optimization
- Develop and execute international freight strategies with carriers, 3PLs, and forwarders
- Manage customs compliance, HS classifications, duties, and regulatory documentation
- Monitor KPIs (DPO, OTIF, freight spend) and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with procurement, warehousing, and IT to optimize ERP/WMS integrations
- Build and mentor a high-performing shipping operations team; manage vendor performance
- Lead risk management for disruptions; design contingency plans and business continuity
- Negotiate terms with carriers and freight forwarders to secure favorable rates
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of shipping and logistics operations experience with international freight
- Proven track record in cost-to-serve optimization and OTIF improvement
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, INCOTERMS, HS classifications, and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and data-driven decision making
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple stakeholders
