What you will do and how you will succeed is simple: build scalable processes, leverage data, and inspire a high-performing team to exceed service levels and KPIs.

Responsibility

  • Lead the daily planning and execution of international and domestic shipments across multiple carriers to meet service levels.
  • Negotiate rates, terms, and service levels with carriers, forwarders, and partners to optimize landed costs.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance for import/export, customs, Incoterms, and trade documentation across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Manage freight forwarding activities, routing optimization, and shipment consolidation to improve transit times and costs.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs (on-time delivery, cost per shipment, carrier performance, and documentation accuracy).
  • Collaborate with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to align demand planning with shipping capacity.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and standard operating procedures for end-to-end shipping processes.
  • Lead and develop the shipping operations team, fostering a culture of safety, accuracy, and accountability.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms, HS codes, customs procedures, and international trade compliance.
  • Proven experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, or equivalents) and data analytics tools (Excel, BI dashboards).
  • Exceptional negotiation, vendor management, and relationship-building skills with carriers and freight forwarders.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with the ability to translate metrics into actionable improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Chinese language skills are a plus for regional coordination.
  • Ability to work in Singapore and obtain necessary work authorization.
