Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end shipping operations from order release to final delivery across multiple modes
- Optimize freight routing, consolidate shipments, and manage carrier capacity to reduce costs
- Ensure compliance with customs, import/export regulations, and trade controls
- Partner with warehouses, 3PLs, brokers, and carriers to guarantee seamless cargo movement
- Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, transit times, and cost per shipment
- Develop and implement processes, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor and develop a high-performing shipping team with clear career paths
- Prepare regular operations reports and present insights to senior leadership
Qualification
- Bachelorâs degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of international shipping or logistics experience
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, Incoterms, and customs documentation
- Proficiency with ERP systems (eg, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and carrier relationship skills
- Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable plans
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to guide crossâfunctional teams
- Familiarity with trade compliance and safety standards
