We are seeking a results-driven Shipping Operations Manager to optimize end-to-end freight flows, improve service levels, and ensure regulatory compliance. As Shipping Operations Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams, manage carrier relationships, and implement data-driven improvements across warehousing, customs clearance, and last-mile execution. Ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
Responsibility
- Oversee daily shipping and freight operations, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to optimize routing, capacity, and rates.
- Monitor KPIs (OTP, transit times, costs) and implement process improvements.
- Lead customs clearance, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage warehouse coordination for inbound/outbound shipments and inventory accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analytics and lean methodologies.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing logistics team; ensure safety and quality standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of shipping/logistics operations experience, preferably in APAC.
- Strong knowledge of incoterms, customs procedures, and trade compliance.
- Proven ability to optimize freight costs and negotiate with carriers.
- Experience with WMS and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work under pressure.
- Professional certification in logistics (e.g., CILT, PMP) is a plus.
