Join NexaShip Logistics, a premier shipping and logistics partner, in Singapore. We are seeking a results-driven Shipping Operations Specialist to oversee day-to-day freight execution, documentation, and carrier relationships for a diverse client portfolio. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize speed, accuracy, and cost across import, export, and cross-border shipments.
In this role, you will coordinate bookings, monitor shipments in real-time, and ensure exceptional service levels. The position offers exposure to international trade, regulatory compliance, and carrier negotiations within a growing, supportive environment.
Responsibility
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations for import and export shipments across multiple carriers, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal transit times.
- Book freight, schedule pickups, and monitor shipments in real-time using the company’s Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Prepare and validate shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin) to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve delays, exceptions, and documentation issues promptly.
- Analyze routing, carrier performance, and costs; negotiate rates and terms with carriers to optimize savings without sacrificing service.
- Manage customs clearance processes, Incoterms compliance, and post-entry procedures where applicable.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and respond to customer inquiries with proactive updates and solutions.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- 2-4 years of shipping or logistics experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong working knowledge of TMS, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and MS Office; familiarity with Incoterms and customs procedures.
- Excellent written and spoken communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with Singapore customs and international trade regulations is a plus.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
