You will oversee day-to-day shipping activities, coordinate with carriers, and ensure timely, compliant delivery for a wide range of international shipments. Responsibility
- Coordinate daily import and export shipments, carrier selection, and routing to optimize transit times and costs.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and related customs paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehousing, and sales teams to align on customer expectations and inventory management.
- Track shipments, monitor exceptions, and implement corrective actions to maintain on-time delivery and service levels.
- Negotiate rates and service levels with carriers and freight forwarders to achieve cost savings.
- Maintain accurate data in the ERP/TMS systems and generate operational metrics for leadership review.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on shipping or logistics experience, preferably in freight forwarding or 3PL operations.
- Strong understanding of Incoterms, HS codes, and global customs regulations.
- Proficiency with ERP and transportation management systems (eg, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Fluent in English; additional languages such as Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil are a plus.
