GlobalSea Logistics is seeking a Shipping Operations Specialist to join our Singapore office. You will coordinate ocean and air freight, manage documentation and bookings, and optimize end-to-end shipments to meet customer expectations. Responsibility
- Manage end-to-end ocean and air freight shipments, including booking, documentation, and real-time tracking.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and customers to ensure on-time delivery and service quality.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents (bill of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin) in compliance with Incoterms and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor shipments, resolve exceptions, and provide proactive updates to stakeholders across operations and sales.
- Analyze routing options, consolidate shipments, and optimize costs while maintaining service levels.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with customs and trade controls, maintain accurate records, and support audits.
- Collaborate with warehouse, IT, and billing teams to ensure accurate inventory, invoicing, and KPI reporting.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a minimum of 2 years of shipping operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and international trade compliance.
- Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (eg, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new platforms quickly.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; customer-focused.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and collaborate cross-functionally.
